About Us

Founded in Northwest Ohio in 2014 then officially became Hilltop Honey Farms, LLC in 2018; the apiary sits on 10 acres in northwestern Ohio.  Our mission is to educate the public on the importance of honey bees in todays world; we strive to provide the highest quality honey and honey-based products to our customers.  What once started as a love for bees and small scale beekeeping has grown into a family business with over 40 hives and growing.

Craig has been a beekeeper since 2014 where he started with just one hive.  His hobby quickly grew as he enjoyed beekeeping more and more everyday.  Craig works full time at a grain elevator, Odenweller Milling Company in Ottoville, Ohio, where he is the 5th generation to work at the grain elevator.  He received his bachelor's degree in business administration in 2017 from the University of Northwestern Ohio in Lima, Ohio.  He enjoys educating people on sustainable beekeeping practices, and would love to help you and answer any questions you may have!

Brian has been lived at the Hilltop Honey Farms location since 1989 when he & his wife Sue purchased the property and started their family.  Four children and thirty-three years of marriage have led to the establishment and operation of the family business.  As a Veteran of the United States Army, Brian understands the importance of  attention to detail which is one of the core values used to operate HTHF. Brian has an associates degree in Business Management and currently continues to support our military as a production supervisor at General Dynamics, assembling the world's finest military vehicles including the Abrams Main Battle Tank.  Brian is happy to assist you with any questions, orders, or concerns you may have.
